~ Our Speaker ~ 

 Ms. Harshberger is VP, Payroll Tax, Entertainment Partners in Burbank, California. She ensures payroll and information reporting compliance with state, federal and foreign revenue agencies, state unemployment insurance agencies.   She also oversees all payroll tax systems upgrades in addition to implementing state and federal legislative changes.   She is a member of (American Payroll Association) APA, she is part of the National Speakers Bureau and Co-Chairs the APA Government Affairs subcommittee focused on IRS issues.  In 2014, she received the Meritorious Service Award from the APA for her contributions to the advancement of the Payroll Profession.  In October 2014 she completed serving her 4th year as Chair, Employees Benefits and Payroll Subgroup, for the IRS Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC).   A Certified Payroll Professional since 1999, she has taught the Greater Los Angeles Chapter CPP prep course every summer since 2000.  Hobbies include yoga, running, gardening and cooking.

The LAAPA is a non-profit organization consisting of dedicated payroll professionals, human resource and financial professionals throughout the Los Angeles area. Our membership represents hundreds of businesses in the Greater Los Angeles area, from the largest industrial firms to small emerging businesses.

 Our goals are to increase the payroll professional's skill level through education, mutual support and to gain recognition for payroll as the professional discipline it has become in today's business and legislative environment.
