Ed Hartman, CPA, CRP

Ed Hartman joined Aires in 2004 and has significant experience in strategic leadership and corporate finance and is a member of the Aires Board of Directors. He began his career in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and prior to joining Aires, he served as CFO of Basis 100, a leading technology provider to the settlement service/mortgage industries. He leads the internal finance strategy, expense management, international compensation administration, payroll and tax reporting, and the billing and collections teams.

Ed also served as Executive Vice President and CFO of the Buffalo Sabres Hockey Club and HSBC Arena. As part of his role, he also served as an alternate member of the NHL’s Board of Governors and a member of the Board of Directors of NHL’s insurance captive.

He currently serves on the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee and is Treasurer of Partner4Work, the regional workforce investment board for Pittsburgh, PA and Allegheny County.

He is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and holds both a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) designation from the Worldwide ERC® and a CPA certification.

Dr. Sheri Sinaga, SCRP, SGMS

Sheri joined Aires in 2013 with 15 years of previous relocation industry experience. In her role, she works to find solutions to meet client needs through collaboration, partnership, and understanding their culture. Her strategic and knowledgeable consultative approach helps clients meet their mobility needs. She fosters strong relationships with her client/prospect base and seeks to help them in the strategic development of their programs. She is highly organized and detail-oriented, helping drive results in both domestic and international programs.

In her time at Aires, Sheri has been named a top sales performer, placing among the Top New Business Producers in 2014. Prior to joining Aires, she held the positions of Vice President, Global Operations and Vice President, Business Development with competing relocation companies. Her credentials include the Senior Certified Relocation Professional (SCRP) and Senior Global Mobility Specialist (SGMS) designations from Worldwide ERC®. Sheri holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and Ph.D. in international communication. In addition to English, she speaks fluent Bahasa Malaysia.

Sheri has earned several awards from Worldwide ERC®, including Mobility Article of the Year (2009), Meritorious Service Award (2008), and the Distinguished Service Award (2010). Sheri has a broad knowledge of international cultures, having lived in or traveled to 43 countries. She has held cultural communication courses for many large Fortune 500 company executives.

Julie Chung, Director

Julie has over 17 years of experience providing expatriate tax advice to organizations of various sizes as they move employees around the world.  Julie joined GTN in 2016 and serves as a Director for GTN's Pacific region in Southern California. Prior to GTN, Julie worked in International Assignment Services with PwC, Deloitte and Arthur Andersen.  Julie also spent a year as the expat program administrator for a software company overseeing the expat program with 150+ assignees in 10+ locations.  Julie has a Master degree in Accounting from University of Waterloo, ON, Canada and is a CPA.

The LAAPA is a non-profit organization consisting of dedicated payroll professionals, human resource and financial professionals throughout the Los Angeles area. Our membership represents hundreds of businesses in the Greater Los Angeles area, from the largest industrial firms to small emerging businesses.

 Our goals are to increase the payroll professional's skill level through education, mutual support and to gain recognition for payroll as the professional discipline it has become in today's business and legislative environment. We take great pride in the achievements our organization has accomplished.
